ATTENTION Ohio Veterans: This was in the Courier today - Ohio's veterans can claim bonuses:

If you were a resident of Ohio while you served in the military and are now a veteran, you can apply for a bonus from the state of Ohio. You can find out more about the bonuses at this link:

www.veteransbonus.ohio.gov

The state is asking veterans to sign and mail applications to: Ohio Veterans Bonus, P.O. Box 373, Sandusky, 44871. The final paperwork can't be submitted online as it must be notarized or acknowledged by a common pleas court clerk. Applications could take up to eight weeks to process depending on volume. Call 877-OHIO-VET with questions.

 

The National Endowment for the Arts has a partner program with Blue Star Museums across the country to offer free admission to military personnel and their families from Memorial Day, May 31, 2010, through Labor Day, September 6, 2010 to participating museums. In Cincinnati, the Taft Museum and the Harriet Beecher Stowe House are participating members. The State of Ohio is launching a state-wide military discount in collaboration with the Ohio National Guard. AFTA-Cincinnati members can take advantage of discounts on Hotels, Motels, Parks and other events statewide throughout the summer. You can also check the military discount page on the state's tourism website at http://consumer.discoverohio.com/MilitaryDiscountResults.aspx .

 

The YMCA is offering free memberships to families of active military personnel and free access to youth development, family strengthening and health and well-being programs at local YMCAs across the country. For more information, please check out the following link:
