AFTA-CINCINNATI 2024 BIKE GIVEAWAY

June 8, 2024

AFTA -Cincinnati had absolutely beautiful weather on Saturday, June 8, 2024 to distribute 76 bicycles to children of Active Military, Guard, Reserves, Retired Military and Veterans' families at the Walmart Supercenter on Redbank Road in Cincinnati. This event was made possible by the generous grant we received from The Haile Foundation. This event was also made possible with grants from private donors.  Thank you to all of the Board Members, Volunteers and Families/Kids attending this event!

Participating in this event was Mingles Ice Cream Truck, Wind Weavers Balloon Artist Kelly Judd and representatives from the Fairfax Police Department.  Officer Aaron McLearen provided bike safety informational materials, pens, cups and miscellaneous promotional items to all the military families attending.  AFTA-Cincinnati provided Walmart gift cards for purchasing helmets or other bike accessories for the children receiving bikes.  Mingles Ice Cream Truck handed out free ice cream cones with sprinkles to the families attending.  The event was a great success with only 1 family not attending.
