Press Release: July 7 2022

Greetings to all our Armed Forces Tickets Association Members, Ticket Partners and Corporate Sponsors!

I hope you had a Happy Independence Day and holiday weekend!

I'm Randy Randolph, and I couldn't think of a better time to introduce myself to you and to assure you of my commitment to keep the mission of this association alive and growing. When Joyce Elkus, our Founder and President, invited me to succeed her in the leadership of her labor of love, I was deeply honored and thrilled at the prospect. Isn't it just like Joyce to time her advance to the next chapter of her life with the annual celebration of the birth of the nation we all love and serve? Joyce has earned every minute of the rich retirement she entered on the first of this month.

As a retired military member who served as Deputy Surgeon General of the United States Air Force, and as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (Health Plan Administration), the opportunity to provide venues for all our military members and their families to take a breather from their intense day-to-day pursuit of the perpetuation of freedom and independence for all Americans can not be over-emphasized. Cincinnati provides a cornucopia of activities that can thrill and delight our warriors and their families: the arts, music affairs of all kinds, collegiate and professional sports, world-class ballet, wonderful museums, an internationally acclaimed zoo, educational institutions that are second to none and so much more. Our ability to gift tickets to our members for these kinds of programs at reduced or no cost is made possible through the generous donations of our partners, sponsors, and independent donors. Thank you for all that you have done for this association and all that we'll do in the future. The AFTA-Cincinnati Board and our incomparable Operations and Web Administrator, Dianne Ashcraft, are thoroughly committed to our mission and to you, our members.

Joyce, thank you for imagining such an entity, initiating the association more than fifteen years ago and for trusting me with its well-being going forward.
